Zhone SHDSL Network Extender Kit, 1 Port Description:www.zhone.com Paradyne's family of EFM Based Network Extenders provide an extremely flexible and easy to use solution for providing Ethernet based services to subscribers throughout the service providers network. Paradyne's EFM Based SHDSL Network Extenders provide a simple method to provide point to point services. The SNE2000 provider units can be used with the subscriber units in a back to back deployment to provide point to point configuration. This allows broadband service providers to deploy single DSL lines economically when required for low density geographical areas or during start up mode. In addition the subscriber units terminate SHDSL lines from the IP DSLAM family of access multiplexers, including the 12000 BLC/ 4000 BLC and SHDSL Mini and MicroDSLAMs. The use of the Provider unit for single SHDSL link deployments provides an easy upgrade path for future multi port deployments, using Paradyne's IP based 12000/4000 BLCs. The subscriber unit can remain in place so no changes are needed at the customer premises and the provider unit can be changed out for an IP based 12000/4000 BLC. To protect investment in the provider units they can be easily converted to subscriber units using the conversion kit and redeployed in the service providers network. Because the SNE2000G is fully DSL The Easy Way compliant, configuration requirements are removed completely, allowing this device to be installed into the customer premise quickly. The SNE2000G uses the DSL The Easy Way Packet based architecture utilizing 100% packet based technology for optimum throughput and reliability.
